Whirlpool Washer Not Spinning Bonaire GA

This is one of the older front style washers.  It’s a Whirlpool MAH3000AWW.  I opened the back panel and found the belt had come off.  I put it back on.  I started the washer and the drum started spinning but it didn’t sound right.  I looked again.  The pulley was cutting in to the drum.  In turn it was pushing the belt off.  There must have been a 1/4″ groove in the drum.  I wiggled the pulley and it had a lot of play in it.  The bearing was worn out and would have to be replaced.  The bearing and drum is all one part and costs around 500 dollars.  Of course the customer decided the repair wasn’t an option.

Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures of this.  I would have loved for everyone to see.
