GENERAL

Is this company licensed & insured?

Yes. Appliance Magic is fully licensed and insured for your safety and peace of mind.
Our company holds a Georgia Electrical Contractor license, and all of our technicians follow strict safety and service standards. We also maintain full liability insurance and workers’ compensation coverage to protect both our customers and our team.

When you choose Appliance Magic, you’re choosing a dependable, qualified, and properly credentialed provider for your appliance repair, electrical service, and dryer vent cleaning needs.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, we stand behind the quality of our work.
Appliance Magic provides a 1-year parts and labor warranty on all in-home appliance repairs and electrical service work we perform. If an issue related to our repair or installation arises within that period, we’ll return promptly to make it right.

Dryer vent cleaning is not covered under warranty, as airflow issues can return over time due to lint buildup, household conditions, or vent design. However, our technicians always provide recommendations to help keep your system running safely and efficiently.

Our goal is to give you confidence and peace of mind with every service we provide.

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept a wide variety of payment methods for your convenience, including:

  • Cash

  • Checks

  • Credit cards

  • Debit cards

Please note:
For card payments, a small processing fee is applied by our payment provider.

  • 3% fee for in-person credit or debit transactions

  • 3.5% fee for phone or “card-not-present” transactions

We strive to make the payment process simple, clear, and flexible for all of our customers.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes. Appliance Magic is proud to offer a 10% discount on labor for:

  • Senior citizens

  • First responders

  • Active-duty military

  • Retired military veterans

This discount applies to the labor portion of your service and is our way of showing appreciation for those who have served our community and country.

If you qualify, simply let us know at the time of service so we can apply the discount to your invoice.

What are the office hours?

We do not offer weekend appointments. As a family-operated business, we believe it’s important for our technicians — and our family — to have time to rest and spend with loved ones. This helps us stay refreshed, focused, and ready to provide the best service possible during the week.

If you contact us over the weekend, please leave a voicemail. We check messages first thing Monday morning and will return your call as soon as possible to schedule service.

Do you work weekends?

We do not. As a small, family-owned business with a limited number of technicians, we value the importance of rest and family time for our hardworking team. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the well-being of our staff while striving to meet your needs.

Do you repair microwaves?

No, we do not repair microwaves. Due to the design and construction of most microwave units, repairs are often not cost-effective or safe to perform in a residential setting.

If you’re unsure whether your appliance qualifies for service, feel free to contact us — we’re happy to help point you in the right direction.

Do you install new appliances?

No, we do not install new appliances. Our services focus on in-home appliance repair, licensed electrical work, and dryer vent cleaning.

If your appliance requires installation by the retailer or a delivery team, we recommend scheduling that service through the store where the appliance was purchased.

Do you pick up old appliances?

No, we do not pick up or haul away old appliances. Our services are limited to in-home appliance repair, licensed electrical work, and dryer vent cleaning.

If you need an old appliance removed, we recommend contacting your local waste management service or a junk removal company that specializes in appliance pickup and disposal.

Do you sell used appliances?

No, we do not sell used appliances. Appliance Magic focuses solely on appliance repair, electrical service, and dryer vent cleaning.

If you’re looking to purchase a used appliance, we recommend checking with local appliance retailers or reputable refurbishers in the area.

Can I bring an appliance to you for repair?

No. We do not have a public drop-off location. Appliance Magic provides in-home appliance repair only, which means all repairs are performed at your home for your convenience.

PRICING

How does the service charge work?

Our service charge covers the technician’s trip to your home and the full diagnostic needed to determine the problem. The way it works depends on the type of service:

✔ Appliance Repair

Our service charge for appliance repair varies based on the type of appliance (each appliance category has its own rate).
However, regardless of the appliance:

If you choose to proceed with the repair, the service charge is applied toward the total cost of the repair.

If you choose not to repair the appliance, only the service charge is due.

(Each appliance-specific service charge will be explained in the individual FAQ questions that follow.)

✔ Dryer Vent Cleaning

Dryer vent cleaning ranges from $125 to $225, depending on the length of the vent, accessibility, and the amount of buildup found.
This is a standalone service and is not applied toward any other repair.

✔ Electrical Service

Electrical diagnostic and repair calls include a $150 service charge, which covers the trip and the first 30 minutes of labor.

After the initial 30 minutes, labor is billed in 30-minute increments at $150 per hour (billed as $75 per 30 minutes).

Some electrical projects or installations may qualify for an upfront estimate depending on the nature of the work.

What is the service charge for washers and dryers?

For most standard washers and dryers, the service charge is $95, and this amount is applied toward the cost of the repair if you choose to move forward.

Some laundry units require more time and labor to access, diagnose, or disassemble. For these appliances, the service charge is $150:

  • Laundry centers (all-in-one stacked units)

  • Stacked washer and dryer sets

  • Washer/dryer combo units

As always, the service charge is applied toward the repair cost if you approve the repair after diagnosis.

What is the service charge for refrigerators and freezers?

Our service charge for refrigeration appliances varies based on the type, size, and complexity of the unit. As always, the service charge is applied toward the cost of the repair if you choose to move forward.

Here is the breakdown:

✔ Basic Refrigerators (Freezer on Top)

$95 service charge

✔ Side-by-Side Refrigerators

$125 service charge

✔ French Door Refrigerators (Freezer on Bottom)

$150 service charge

✔ Premium or Complex Brands

Some brands require additional time, specialized components, or more complex diagnostics. For the following brands, the service charge is:

  • Samsung – $150

  • LG – $150

  • Bosch – $150

  • Sub-Zero – $150

This includes both refrigerators and freezers from these manufacturers.

What is the service charge for ranges and ovens?

Our service charge for cooking appliances depends on the type of unit. As always, the service charge is applied toward the repair cost if you choose to proceed.

✔ Stand-Alone (Freestanding) Ranges

$95 service charge

✔ Slide-In or Drop-In Ranges

$125 service charge
(These often require additional time and care to access.)

✔ Wall Ovens (Single or Double)

$150 service charge
(Wall ovens typically require two technicians and additional labor to remove for diagnosis.)

What is the service charge for dishwahsers?

The service charge for all dishwasher repairs is $150. Dishwashers are often more difficult to access and diagnose due to their built-in installation, which requires additional time and labor.

As always, the service charge is applied toward the cost of the repair if you choose to proceed.

What is the repair charge for an appliance?

Most appliance repairs typically range between $175 and $225 for labor, plus the cost of any needed parts and tax.
Some repairs may fall slightly below or above this range, depending on the appliance, the complexity of the issue, and the parts required.

However, your service charge is always applied toward the repair cost if you choose to move forward after the diagnosis. This means you only pay the remaining balance of the repair, not the full labor amount plus the service charge.

Our goal is to provide accurate, upfront pricing so you know what to expect before work begins.
